This is a tribute to Sweet Pea. When I heard that she had died in Mom’s arms the other night, I burst into tears. It reminded me of the first time I had lost a kitty client that I had given over 13 Reiki sessions to. The connection to the soul becomes so strong. (even though I never get to meet them in person) Sweet Pea’s story touched me from the very beginning. She being left at a school tied to a post. But then came her Mom Sarah who had not even met her yet but saw her picture and name. She and we connected with her as she was at the Vet with not even a good prognosis. But Sweet Pea connected with her “foster” Mom Sarah. Once Sarah got her home, there was no more foster, it was just Mom.
As we connected with Sweet Pea this Christmas morning,

Mom can you feel Sweet Pea? Mom, Sweet Pea was in your arms when the angels were there. Now Sweet Pea is everywhere, and guess what? Sweet Pea is an angel too. Yes, Mom your Sweet Pea soars back to you. Of course Sweet Pea is out exploring this new amazing new world from above too. Mom, Sweet Pea is filled with love and gratitude for your gentle, kind heart. You took me home when Sweet Pea had no one. You made a heart connection with Sweet Pea before Sweet Pea arrived. You had angels taking care of Sweet Pea from the moment you heard Sweet Pea’s name. Mom, Sweet Pea knows your secret now- you are an earth angel.
Sarah, streams of tears came down Candy’s face , this is the first time for her. Candy could feel the strong heart connection and that is what this is, as the angels call it, its a heart connection, the love is so strong. Stronger than death itself, for there is no death. There is only transition. Thank you for sharing with us Sweet Pea’s soul. Sweet Pea is one very special dog and you Sarah, yes, you are an earth angel.
When we talk to the angels they talk about something called a “heart connection”, its love that is so strong. The angels want us all to have that kind of a connection with our loved ones.

dear ming,
sweet pea was/is such a special girl. in the end, so many loved her, so many were touched by her, and so many mourn her passing. what an amazing little being. i feel so honored to have spent these last months with such a being. her physical needs were so challenging, but her sweetness and silliness through them all were just amazing. sweeps was one of my greatest teachers. an angel.
